The parent’s waiver is very
important when you ask for a parent’s permit or a special favor from the
parents about their children who would like to go to the venue where the competition
takes place or join with you in a special trip. The 4 samples of parent’s
waiver will serve as guide in writing such a letter to the parents concerned.

area level presscon winners…singled out/qualified to compete in ____________________
on November 10-12, 2008, Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday, at Consolacion
Central School, Consolacion, Cebu.
I understand that the training aims to impart basic
journalistic knowledge to the student-participants, spark their interests and
enthusiasm in journalism, and equip them with journalistic skills to give them
a competitive edge in the press conferences that they will be attending in the
future. Moreover, the training also seeks to introduce current trends and
techniques in journalism, not only for the students in particular but also for
the school paper advisers in general.
On the other hand, on the part of Division Schools Press
Conference 2008, I understand that the aims are: to serve as a forum communicating
through a variety of journalistic approaches; to enhance journalism
competencies through friendly individual and group competitions; and to select
the division’s representatives to the regional press conference, in which I, the
undersigned parent/guardian, am willing to support financially just for the
benefits of my child.
Except for the registration fee which is to be shouldered only
by the school paper advisers, I understand that my child will be provided

Besides, refund for the expenses in the previous area level presscon contests

it is my discretion to allow or not to allow my child to join in case my mind
changes prior to the date.

This article is important to the parents to keep them updated of what activities their kids are into more specially to the over protective parents or the so called paranoid parents.
ReplyDeleteThis is important as it allows the parent to be posted as to what and where thier childrens are going to but "waiver" as the literal meaning and explanation of it I don't agree as the school and the teacher will wash hands as to whatever happens to the student.A Communication letter will do rather than a waiver.

As a parent, I am always hesitant to sign a waiver. Because no parent would ever want to sign risking the lives of their precious children. Probably most of us just affix our signature without understanding what is the real content of what we are signing for. It means that we allow the school to waive their obligations towards our children if any cases of untoward incidents which in fact, might occur because of the school's prescribe activities. I just think schools and teachers should provide utmost diligence and take full responsibility towards our children. besides they are our children's second home and parents.
