Thought flows in terms of stories...

Stories about events, stories about people, and stories about intentions and achievements. The best teachers are the best story tellers. We learn in the form of stories-Frank Smith. An educational system isn't worth a great deal if it teaches young people how to make a living but doesn't teach them how to make a life-Author Unknown.

A Child is Naive: A Call for Education, Protection and Moral Guidance

"In the past, children were all too often viewed more as property than people. Many victories for children's rights have been won in the last 100 years, such as child labor laws, protecting children from having to work long hours in unsafe conditions; public education, allowing all children to have access to learning; and laws preventing child abuse. But there is still much to do in protecting children's rights around the world." -- Robert Alan

A child is naive…a world that is slowly deteriorating caused by man's selfish desire for power, fame and wealth is unknown to her.

But a child has the tendency to imitate what she sees and hears whether it is good or bad. She has the tendency to ask questions in which if not answered correctly will lead her to a life of jeopardy.

It is our responsibility therefore to provide her with the right answers to her questions and set her a good example if we want her to inherit a good heritage.

How we train her today will determine the kind of society she will live tomorrow.

As we all know learning starts at home. Parents are responsible for honing and guiding their children to become responsible individuals in the future. A child is like an empty cup who needs to be provided by essential learning. If a child asks some question you must give him importance, and give take time to listen. In that way, you are guiding a child to his continuous journey for discovery. Education is very important in honing the mental and physical aspects of a child.

Children are our nation's hope. We as future educators should take the challenge to advocate children's rights. It is the calling in our profession. We live to teach!

  3. In the past, many children are victims of child labor when there was no implementation of laws that will protect children and laws that establish their rights in the society. Today, child labor law seems to take its toll on us as more and more become more abusive to their rights, more and more adults are using children to commit crime.

What really lacking in this society is the true essence of family and moral values. We should work on this.

  4. Teachers, parent and most importantly the state should hand in hand to protect children in our society as they will serve as our prototype to the next generation.
