MNSHS publication adviser Dr. Ermetes F. Adolfo, Jr. attended recently a lecture forum on advising student organization by Dr. Rouel A. Longinos, dean of graduate school of health science, management and pedagogy at Southwestern University, Urgello St., Cebu City.
The highlights of said lecture were the following: roles of the advisers, responsibilities of student journalists, responsibilities of publication advisers, guidelines of effective advising, and the rights and duties of the advisers.
Publication advisers from different schools, both public and private institutions, shared among others their own experiences and shortcomings they have undergone in advising students’ school publication.
“The lecture forum paves the way to new perspective and effective strategies and pursues the best way of advising a campus publication,” Dr. Adolfo said.
Attending a seminar regarding one's job is already a signal that the person is really interested and proactive with the job that's why I give my two thumbs up to you sir for giving off such energy to serve the school through the publication.
