Last September 21-23 marked the Student Technologist Entrepreneurs of the Philippines- Division Skills Development Competition which was held at Daanbantayan National High School in Daanbantayan, Cebu with the theme, “ STEP: Moving up from Underground (school and backyard) to Mainstream Economy.”
The affair was celebrated by six districts of Division of Cebu Province, which in turn were composed of different municipalities and schools, and such various competitions were represented by the students competing in the different fields of TLE as follows: home technology, industrial arts, agriculture and fisheries and business technology.
In Municipality of Minglanilla, the representatives anticipated the positive results and proved to have done well in their contests. Jhoana Marie Carpentero for Home Page Making, Marianne Christi Cal for Power Point Presentation, and Paul-Lester Salomson ranked 1st place in Desktop Publishing Contest. Jacob Lagcao for Spreadsheet while Patricia Villarta for Techno Quiz (Business Technology) who got 2nd place. Jeco Roy Osorio, ICT Project Proposal won 3rd place. Jowanah Lyn Nacar was elected STEP-DSDC vice-president. Those students mentioned above came from Minglanilla National Science High School. Another came from Tungkop National High School, Raffy M who won 2nd place in the Sardines Making competition.
These recognized winners made the Municipality of Minglanilla the 3rd place over-all winning municipality during the STEP-DSDC. 1st place went to Daanbantayan and 2nd place went to Argao. The 1st place winning contingent was told to proceed to Siquijor to compete for STEP- Regional Skills Development Competition.
I salute all the students for giving their best in the competition, same salutation will also be given to all the teaching force who unceasingly helped these students in their endeavor.. may Minglanilla never be contented of such awards for us to move forward.

ReplyDeleteI'm so proud of them even if I didn't study in MNSHS. Because of the perseverance both the students and the teacher to learn from one another gave them the best among htemselves that's why I salute them.
